Scope of AP GOV.
The whole scope of this class was basically this class s obviously about learning about how the Government works and what our rights are as being citizens of the United States. This class consisted of a lot of memorizing and plenty of notes. You learn about the structure of the government. You also learn about the actions of the electorate and politicians. This class also helps students have the ability to examine general propositions about government and politics.
What caught my eye?
The most interesting topic that we've covered in AP Gov. would definitely be learning about our civil liberties & our Rights. Reason being, in order to successfully be a citizen here in the US, every person should know their rights in case one of them gets violated. A person should never let somebody be able to strip them of their rights & think what they're doing is perfectly fine. I've always wanted t learn my rights as being a citizen here, this class/topic gave me the abilities to gain such knowledge.
Challenges I faced:
Being a student in AP Gov. for me was truly a struggle, I feel I let my teacher down in so many ways that honestly bother me, the work load was not difficult to understand not to comprehend. The only thing I struggle with was my time management which then caused me to have to use online resources instead of using what she had truly wanted me to use in which I have learned that I need to always create time for my school work so that I can share my own thoughts and not somebody else's. I cant ell it must have been extremely frustrating for her to grade my work and I now want to apologize & I am sorry for begin such a horrible student. I just hope you know that I did try really hard on the AP Gov. Exam and I felt I honestly got at least a 3. I've taken all the knowledge that you've shared with me and I am going to take it far so I can at least make you proud of me.
ACTIVITIES, pROJECTS, & lESSONS:
I honestly enjoy working in groups, I also love the presenting aspect because I love to share my ideas in front of the class to engage in verbal fisticuffs with my fellow peers. I really like publicly speaking, being a student in AP Gov. we sure gt the opportunity to be able to speak in front of our classmates. Also, like I stated early on this web page the whole Civil Rights Movement projects that we've completed. Mrs. Derstine-Desai I just honestly hope you know that you are truly one of my favorite teachers, you've inspired me with your knowledge to go on an successfully complete wonderful things.

For this assignment we had to choose a topic and basically write an essay about the following topic explaining how we felt about the issue. I did a ton of research for this project, I found as many different examples of cases where Gay Marriage was a big issue. I learned how difficult it was for people to be marriages to the same sex, this was heavily looked down upon. Paperwork was implied to make it very hard for citizens to get married, there were so many obstacles in the way to try and keep couples being together if were not of different sex.

Also, I did more than enough research for this project in which I had to look at the Electoral College and learn as much about it as possible. After gaining all of my research I had to write a research paper on whether we should abolish the electoral college or not. This project was certainly difficult because I was practically drawn in between both yes & no reason being that I still to this day cannot give an honest answer to this question.
